Excursion for Students of Museum Studies Program
On October 3, the Holodomor Museum was visited by a group of master students studying at the Historical Faculty of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, whose major is “Museum and Monument Studies.”
The educational program is aimed at training professionals who have in-depth knowledge and practical skills related to the activities of museum and memorial institutions and can at a high professional level perform practical and analytical tasks. The study is based on the fact that the student should develop not only knowledge about the functioning of museums and memorials and experience of leading Ukrainian and world institutions, but also gain the necessary professional skills, which is ensured by a large number of practical training and the museum practice.
Students were introduced to the of the Holodomor Museum work, groups of its visitors and specific features of working with them. Future museum workers are also interested in promising areas of research on the Holodomor-Genocide history and the potential for their implementation in historical memory preserving projects.
