Congrats! Tho' hard to call “her” by her name.

I thank greatly for sending me the Argus, the Huisgenoot. which I never miss!

They are far more needed than all the money you may wish to send me.

The lies I read in the press here is making me ill. For weeks I never take a “Pravda” in my hand! And your “Argus” becomes the well of knowledge!

Honestly, it is not homesickness, for the same keenness applies to the “Manchester Guardian” or the “Nation”.

Your press has enough lies. One knows it. But this here has worse and above all one cannot get away from it, as one can your way.

Вітаю! Хоча важко називати "її" її ім'ям.

Я дуже вдячний за те, що надіслав мені Argus, Huisgenoot які я ніколи не пропускаю!

Вони набагато потрібніші за всі гроші, які вам хочеться надіслати мені.

Від брехні, яку я читаю у пресі тут, мені робиться зле. Тижнями я не беру «Правду» у свою в'язку газет! І ваш «Аргус» стає джерелом знань!

Чесно кажучи, це не туга за домом, адже моє тепле ставлення стосується і «Manchester Guardian» , і «Nation».

У вашій пресі достатньо брехні. Це відомо. Але тутешня ще гірша й більш того неможливо втікти від неї, як у вас.
