Holodomor Research Intitute Fellow Was Awarded by the National Security and Defense Council

According to the Order of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov dated December 16, 2020 “On Encouragement”, for personal contribution to the national security and defense of Ukraine and professionalism, the Holodomor Research Institute fellow Andriy Kozytskyi was awarded with the medal “Award of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine”.

Andriy Kozytskyi is PhD in History, Senior Research Fellow at the Holodomor Research Institute, Associate Professor of the Department of Modern and Contemporary History of Foreign Countries, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, author of the first Ukrainian textbook on human genocides.

In 2012, the historian received the award “Best Book of the 19th Publishers’ Forum in Lviv” in the category “History” for the book Genocide and the Policy of Mass Extermination of Civilians in the 20th Century and the Correspondent magazine award for the same book in the category “A book that expands national consciousness”.

It will be recalled that the National Security and Defense Council awarded Holodomor-genocide researchers with honors.
