We invite children and their parents to the presentation of the new workshop “Tree of Life”
On the occasion of International Children’s Day, the Holodomor Museum will host a new workshop presentation for children and their parents, “The Tree of Life”.
During the class, we will offer our youngest visitors to create a tree themselves using a kind of Woodblock printing on textile technique. This will encourage children to research the history of their family and the history of Ukraine, encouraging them to be interested in family heirlooms and forgotten photos from the family album, the value of which children may not even know.
At the same time, the participants of the class will learn about traditional Ukrainian symbols – the family tree, the Christmas spider – and find their image in the interiors of our museum.
In addition, children will see the most valuable exhibits of our museum – heirlooms of specific families that have been kept in families for many years and passed down from generation to generation. Each of them has an interesting story, memories and people who come to life in these memories.
Visitors will also receive tips on how to research the history of their lineage and links to useful resources independently.
The class is for children aged 7-12 and their parents.
The presentation of the “Tree of Life” workshop will take place on June 1, 2023 (Thursday) at 3:00 p.m. at the Holodomor Museum (3, Lavrska Street).
On the day of the first event on the occasion of International Children’s Day, attending the workshop is FREE.
The number of places is limited, so please register in advance!
