Ivanna Klimpush-Tsintsadze Discusses the Opportunity to Recognize the Holodomor as a Genocide by the Kingdom of Belgium

Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klimpush-Tsintsadze met with the Vice Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium, Didier Reynders; and they discussed the possibility of recognizing the Holodomor as a genocide in the Kingdom of Belgium, according to the Government portal.

“The Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine welcomed the accession of the Kingdom of Belgium to the UN General Assembly Declaration on the commemoration of the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor and called on the representatives of the Belgian Government to promote the adoption of a resolution recognizing the Holodomor 1932-1933 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people by the Belgian Parliament,” the statement said.

Recall that the Holodomor Victims Memorial participated in an international conference in Brussels.
