The New York State recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people

Another US state joined the recognition of the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-1933 as a genocide against the Ukrainian people. Legislature of New York State has adopted a resolution, is reported on the Facebook page of the Ukrainian embassy in the United States.

“The Senate and the Assembly of State of New York have adopted a joint resolution to the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine, which recognizes this tragedy as a genocide of the Ukrainian people,” the statement said.

As for today, the Holodomor in Ukraine has been recognized as genocide in nine US states: Washington, Wisconsin, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Oregon and Pennsylvania.

We remind that in March 2018 Massachusetts joined the recognition of the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-1933 as a genocide against the Ukrainian people.
