The President of Ukraine urged the State of Israel to recognize the Holodomor as a genocide

On January 21, 2019, in the framework of an official visit to the State of Israel, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with the Speaker of the Knesset, Yulii Edelshtein, according to the official internet portal of the President of Ukraine.
During the meeting, it was hoped that the Knesset will recognize the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people, the statement said.
We remind that previously the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine called on the Israeli Parliament to recognize the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people.
