1 December 2018

Rhode Island State became the 22nd State of the United States, which recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as the genocide of the Ukrainian people, the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States reports.

“Officially, the State of Rhode Island has recognized the Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-1933 as the genocide of the Ukrainian people,” the message says.

Diplomats have published a copy of the document and reminded that more than 20 states recognize the targeted destruction of the Ukrainian people.

Recall that on October 4, 2018, the US Senate recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as the genocide of the Ukrainian people.
