The State of Missouri recognized the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people

Another US state joined the recognition of the Holodomor in Ukraine as a genocide of the Ukrainian people. Missouri Governor, on April 3, 2007 has signed an appropriate proclamation, is reported on the Facebook page of the Ukrainian embassy in the United States.

“85 years ago, the leader of the USSR, Joseph Stalin, committed an act of genocide by creating artificial famine and confiscating land, grain, animals to the Ukrainian people, which led to the death of 10 million men, women and children …”, – proclaimed in a proclamation.

As it is known, 2018 year in the state of Missouri is declared as a year of memory of the Holodomor-genocide.

For today, the Holodomor in Ukraine has been recognized as genocide in eleven US states: Washington, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Missouri, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Oregon and Pennsylvania.

We remind that in early May this year States of New York and Kansas have joined the recognition of the Holodomor in Ukraine as a genocide against the Ukrainian people.
