8 November 2018

On November 7, on the occasion of the National Day for the Victims of Communism, the White House circulated a statement by the President of the United States to commemorate the victims who lost their lives and were persecuted by communist totalitarian regimes, having emphasized on the losses of Ukraine during the artificially created Holodomor.

“The victims of such tragedies are silent reminders that communism and its aspirations will always be a destructive force for human spirit and prosperity,” is written in the statement.

Recall that the US Senate recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as the genocide of the Ukrainian people.
