16 December 2018

The All-Ukrainian Contest of Contemporary Visual Art named after Nathan Altman is held for the fifth time and focuses on young artists under the age of 35 who work with video art, installation, graphics, collage, and multimedia art. This year the jury selected the forced migrants from Donbass Andriy and Liya Dostlyev. The winners of the competition were determined based on the innovation, relevance and artistic value of their project. The work of the young artists called “Holodomor” highlights the topic, which, according to the jury, “is now actively being discussed in the world, and for Ukraine, it was always painful and so it will remain”.

The winners who are currently living abroad will have the opportunity to organize a personal exhibition in a gallery in Kyiv.
