UWC President urged Israel to recognize the Holodomor as a genocide

President of the Ukrainian World Congress Eugene Czolij during his visit to Israel called on the country’s leadership to recognize the Holodomor as an act of genocide against the Ukrainian people, the UWC press service reports.
“During the meetings with high-ranking officials, the UWC President paid attention to the commemorating of the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor in Ukraine this year and called on Israel to take part in commemorative events and recognize the Holodomor as an act of genocide against the Ukrainian people, as the 17 states of the world have already done”, note in the UWC.
