Oleksandr Bortnikov – director of the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB), general of the Russian army, and a permanent member of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
Bortnikov played one of the most crucial roles in unleashing a full-scale war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
In 2021, he stated that there were supposedly states in Europe that “still justify Nazism or even purposefully include it in their national ideology.”
On the eve of the Russian Federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he said that Russia should protect the so-called “DPR” and “LPR”.
He claimed that allegedly “Ukrainian neo-Nazis were inciting young people in Russia to commit terrorist attacks.”
It is worth noting that in November 2021, The Times published an investigation in which it was said that Putin was persuaded to start a full-scale war against Ukraine by the director of the FSB Oleksandr Bortnikov and the secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Mykola Patrushev.
