Oleksiy Karyakin has been the head of the so-called “LPR” Public Chamber since June 24, 2019. He distinguished himself by calling for actions that undermine the Ukrainian territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence.
He claimed that the current leadership of Ukraine has usurped power and is obsessed with it. He said that “Russia will never leave Donbas”, and the so-called “LPR” is allegedly going to the Russian Federation.
After the so-called “referendum” on joining the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine to Russia, it was said that it was time to “erase the borders with the Russian Federation.”
