Olga Skabeyeva, propagandist, TV presenter
Olga Skabeyeva is a Russian propagandist. Along with her husband, Eugene Popov, she hosts the talk show “60 Minutes” on the TV channel “Russia-1”.
Skabeyeva is one of the essential mouthpieces of Kremlin propaganda and actively spreads anti-Ukrainian sentiments.
In November 2021, she stated that allegedly, in the Russian Federation, “there are 600,000 moral reasons to announce an operation to force Kyiv to make peace.”
In March 2022, she explained the slow advance of the occupying forces in Ukraine with the fact that “such a large country cannot be captured so fast.” With this, she admitted that the aggressor country, Russia, actually only wants to seize Ukraine.
In May 2022, three months after the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, Skabeyeva stated that Russia “cannot surrender and will go to the end because its existence is at stake.” She also claimed that the so-called “special operation” had ended and the Third World War with NATO had allegedly begun.
