Sergey Naryshkin is a Russian statesman, director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia since October 5, 2016.

A few months before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, he had assured that nothing like this would happen. He called all reports about the threat of malicious propaganda from the US State Department.

He called the Ukrainian government Russophobic, corrupt and oligarchic. After the start of the full-scale invasion, he justified Russian aggression by saying that “Russia wanted to prevent a great tragedy in the future.”

Later, he declared that it was “the totalitarian-liberal West trying to impose a global war on all mankind.”
