Exhibitions of the Holodomor Victims Memorial Were Presented in Bukovyna and Lviv Region
On May 20, the photo exhibition “Hungry Symphony” created by Ukrainian photographer Kseniia Piliavska was sent to the Vyzhnytsia Regional House for Children and Youth Creativity (Chernivtsi region) by the National Museum “Holodomor Victims Memorial.”
The Head of the Department of Culture of the District State Administration Natalia Dodiak spoke about the exhibition, and the head of the District State Administration Ruslan Senchuk shared his grandmother’s memoirs on how the children who went to the collective farm field to search the heads of grains to eat something were punished. The head of the district asked the students to listen to, read, watch films and remember the genocide and repression of the Ukrainians because by remembering these crimes and understanding their purpose we will be able to prevent the repetition of history, to preserve our genetic memory and national consciousness.
The photo exhibition is complemented by a book exhibition consisting of the books Great Famine in Ukraine, National Book of Victims of the Holodomors of 1932–1933, 1946–1947 in Ukraine. Chernivtsi Region, Disaster of the Holodomor: 1932–1933, The Holodomor of 1932–1933 in Ukraine. Documents and Materials. It will operate in the colas house for children creativity until Friday, May 24.
Also, in the village of Ispas (Vyzhnytskyi district), in the foyer of the village house of culture, an exhibition “We Were Killed Because We Are Ukrainians” was opened. The exhibition “Our Hope Is in God” is exhibited in the village of Mshana (Horodotskyi district, Lviv region).
