 The “Encyclopedia of the Holodomor” became the summit of many years of research work of its author – a famous researcher, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Vasyl Ivanovych Marochko.

The work on creating of the entry list and writing the articles lasted for seven years – from 2012 to 2018. More than a thousand articles of this monumental work reveal the main events and phenomena, generalize historiographical and memorial practices.

Its task is to inform the future generations about Holodomor in Ukraine, not to persuade the opponents, but to present historical facts truthfully, to remind of the eternal values ​​of Christian mercy.

The one-volume edition of “The Encyclopedia of Holodomor” does not drain the theme of human grief, caused to the Ukrainian people, and the content and tragedy of the very historical phenomenon.
