An exhibition of the Holodomor Museum is being showed in Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region

On June 4, 2018, the Pokrovsky Historical Museum presented a poster exhibition of the National Museum “Holodomor Victims Memorial” “We were killed because we were Ukrainians …”.

The exhibition covers the history of Holodomor from the causes of the crime to the process of restoring the truth about the Holodomor. The authors of the exhibition focused on evidence of Stalin’s intention to destroy the Ukrainian national group.

 

Also, during the presentation, the visitors of the Pokrovsk Museum watched the film “The Territory of Holodomor: the memory of the immortal”, created by the National Museum “Holodomor Victims Memorial” in cooperation with the Canadian Human Rights Museum in 2016, and distributed in 2017 among the educators of the eleven regions of Ukraine. The National Museum of the Holodomor Victims’ Memorial, in order to inform Ukrainian citizens widely about the history of the genocide of the Ukrainian nation in 1932-1933, organizes temporary exhibitions in regional, district, historical and local museums.

Exposition of the exhibition in Pokrovsk Historical Museum will last until June 25. After that, the museums and cultural institutions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions can also take it for displaying.
