Plast brought Peace Light of Bethlehhem to the Holodomor Museum
The pre-Christmas and Christmas time is important for Plast, because it is the time when the Bethlehem Fire of Peace, which symbolizes Christmas warmth, unity, harmony and love of neighbor, is disseminated throughout the world, Plast informs.
Since the early 2000s, the organization has been bringing the Bethlehem Fire to Kyiv from Vienna.
On December 28, 2020, the Plast scouts visited the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide to transmit the Fire of Peace.
Yulia Kotsur, Deputy Director General of the Museum: “We are sincerely grateful to Plast for their annual visit to the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide, which has become an important tradition for our team. It is important that the fire, which unites millions of people from around the world, reaches the place of memory of Ukrainians and illuminates the Hall of Remembrance of our Museum.”
Plast is the largest and oldest youth organization in Ukraine. The purpose of the organization is to educate conscious, responsible and full-fledged citizens of our state.
