The Holodomor victims to be commemorated in Norway

The Norwegian capital, Oslo, will commemorate the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine on November 26. The mourning event will start at 3:00 pm in the square near Storting. The event is organized by the Ukrainian community in Norway Den ukrainske forening i Norge.It is stated on the Facebook page for the event.

” This year’s event will take place on Friday, November 26, 2021, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm Norwegian time to create opportunities for as many Ukrainians and Norwegians as possible to participate in this celebration. Regarding this, I would like to invite you and the members of the organizations you lead to participate in this event, as well as to help spread information about this year’s commemoration of the Holodomor victims in Norway among your friends and acquaintances,” in his letter, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Norway Viacheslav Yatsiuk called on.

He also drew attention to the international mourning action “Light the Candle of Remembrance!” dedicated to the 88th anniversary of the Holodomor, which will take place on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 3:00 pm Norwegian time.

“On this day and time in all countries of the world, Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine will light candles, displaying them on the windowsills of their homes. I hope that all concerned Ukrainians in Norway and Norwegian friends of Ukraine will also be able to join this international action, ” the ambassador added.
