Exchange of Museum Experience with the Bykivnia Graves Reserve

On June 25, 2019, a meeting was held between the employees of the National Museum “Holodomor Victims Memorial” and colleagues from the “Bykivnia Graves” National Historical and Cultural Reserve. Both institutions work with the problems of historical traumatic memory, preservation, presentation and interpretation of this traumatic experience for society.

During the meeting, the issues related to the registration of museum funds, the organization of storing, ways and sources of fulfilling of the museum collection were discussed.

Museum staff shared the experience of creation and features of exhibiting photo-documentary projects, the use of modern multimedia equipment in the exposition, the preparation and implementation of educational programs for children.

Scientists of the Holodomor Research Institute, a branch of the National Museum “Holodomor Victims Memorial,” talked about cooperation with archival institutions, work on the organizing and holding of scientific conferences.
